The vision was to have a wedding in their Nanaimo backyard, that foremost was meaningful and true to them, with personal details sprinkled throughout – from saying their vows next to a tree planted in Caitlin’s dad’s memory to have a cake made by a friend, the day was full of sentiment. Secondly, the day had to be fun, it was important to them to gift this to their group of close family and friends.

An exact year before their wedding date, Steven surprised Sarah with a getaway to Campbell River. When she said yes, he took her on a tour of Dolphin’s Resort, which he had already booked for their wedding, because the dates were filling up and he knew she loved it.
