Timeless

“I wanted to send a quick note and say thank you once again for capturing our family! You always work so well with us to create timeless images that capture everyone exactly where they are at, and the special moments we share. These photos, like all the sessions in the past, are some of my most treasured possessions, and I am grateful that you’ve been a part of so many special moments! ”

Connection

“Dani and I looked at the photos and it was hard to choose because you are so talented. You are so talented in your craft and I appreciate not only getting to see you in action doing what you do but then seeing what you captured. The light and colours are amazing....the connection between me and my kiddo brought tears to my eyes. Biggest giantess thank you. With love and appreciation!”

“It was an absolute pleasure to get to work with Karen! She has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and a natural talent for capturing moments in time. We will treasure those special memories of our family.”

FAQs

Where will we be photographed? What should we wear?

Together we will work to find a location that is meaningful for your portrait to you and takes advantage of the stunning Vancouver Island backdrops. As for clothing, the priority is to be you! However, if you try to coordinate clothing as much as possible and avoid busy-looking prints and clothing with logos, the images will be more visually harmonious. I will give you some other tips once we have your session booked.

Can Grandma and Grandpa be in some photos? What about my sister and her family and the dog? We need to bring the dog.

Yes to it all! When you contact me let me know who will be joining you and if you are wanting to photograph everyone together and separately. I can tailor your session to fit you. Also, I love multi-generation shoots and dogs (I will leave mine behind though.)

Do we get to keep the digital files?

Yes, you receive the digital files from your family portrait. I currently do not offer to print, however I believe strongly in the value of the printed photo. So, expect to receive tips from me on how and where to print your photos and why it is so important.

I feel awkward in front of the camera, can you help?

Don’t worry, I create an atmosphere that will help you relax and provide lots of direction during portrait sessions. All you have to do is plan to come and cuddle and play with your loved ones!
