Cody and Caitlin Nanaimo Wedding

Their story: I fell in love immediately. Over a coffee at Starbucks, Caitlin brought me into her warm personality with stories of her and Cody’s full life. Cody runs an excavation and trucking company and Caitlin is commuting 2 hours some days to school where she is completing her nursing education. Meanwhile, they were overhauling their property in anticipation of a dream celebration. The vision was to have a wedding in their Nanaimo backyard, that foremost was meaningful and true to them, with personal details sprinkled throughout – from saying their vows next to a tree planted in Caitlin’s dad’s memory to have a cake made by a friend, the day was full of sentiment. Secondly, the day had to be fun, it was important to them to gift this to their group of close family and friends. The day definitely delivered everything they had envisioned. The speeches had me in tears, the dance floor had me moving, camera in hand. Caitlin and Cody are incredible people – kind, motivated, warm and easygoing – always showing grace and being genuine.

This truly was one very special day, and I am so thankful to have been there to capture it.
