Ariel and Dylan, Gabriola Island Elopement

Who: Ariel and Dylan

Their story: We have a terrible roommate, and a cat, to thank for this beautiful union and day. Dylan and Ariel were working in different departments of a giant call center but hadn’t spent time together. However, because of her awful roommate, Ariel spent as much time away from home as possible. This meant lots of hanging out with work friends and led to being at a house party where she connected with her future husband. They clicked over conversations about theoretical physics and star navigation. They spent the next seven days mostly together, and the exchange of house keys wasn’t far behind. When Ariel's typically stand-offish cat took an immediate liking to Dylan, she knew that he had found her match. Three months later, Ariel would have a new roommate, someone she now calls her husband.
On their 7th annual trip to Ucluelet, Dylan got down on his knee at Inspirations Point and proposed and then the two settled, with their toes in the sand, into an evening of gushy bliss.

The details: Ariel slipped on her Shein dress in the tiny BC Ferries washroom and then with two good friends by their side, they exchanged vows at Berry Point on Gabriola Island. Their wedding was officiated by a friend and Celebrant Cheryl Pedley. Ariel’s hair was done at VK Salon, and Dylan’s suit was from Moores Clothing.
