Alex and Sean, Comox Valley Elopement

Who: Alex and Sean

Their story: Sean and Alex met while working at a tech company in Vancouver. It wasn’t a love at first sight story. They worked together for a number of years before a company party where they became enthralled in conversation together. And, as the story goes, they never stopped talking and quickly became 100% in their mutual adoration and commitment. They became roomies and since then, they have lived all over the world together. They grew their family with the addition of their beloved (and very photogenic) bull terrier, Frankie. Frankie played a big role in their engagement. The engagement ring was delivered, along with coffee in bed, attached to Frankie’s collar.

The west coast feels like home to them and so it was the natural place for them to exchanged vows. With close family at Alex’s parent’s home in Royston, these two had a genuine and perfect ceremony. Their friendship, wonderful sense of humour and easy laughter was on full display - in addition to personal vows, and a rock ceremony, there was paddle boarding, champagne, the perfect amount of joyful tears.

The details: Their wedding was officiated by Celebrant Barbara Densmore, there were stunning flowers from 5th Street Florist, dinner at The Kingfisher Resort, dress from Before-Sarah Seven and rings from Cavalier Gastown.
