Brooklyn and Victor, Black Creek Wedding

Who: Brooklyn and Victor

Their story: Brooklyn was going to school in Prince George to be a paramedic and Victor was a medical student in Prince George. They were both new to the area and after connecting online, it took just one date to know that their connection would be a meaningful one. What they didn’t know is that their relationship would also require patience. Their education eventually had them living in separate communities and then their wedding was postponed a year due to the pandemic. Throughout all the unknown they were patient, incredibly good-humoured and once they settled on a 2021 wedding date, they were open to how it would come together.

And how did it come together? Exactly as they imagined.

They were married by Brooklyn’s brother-in-law in the lush yard at her childhood home. The adorable kids almost stole the show, but all eyes were on Brookly and Victor as they were caught up in the emotion of the ceremony. Afterwards, we had so much fun. It was relaxed as we captured the portraits and then crossed the street to their reception, which was a night filled with genuine sentiment and some 5-star limbo dancing.

Brooklyn and Victor, your wedding day really was exceptional. You two stayed focused on what mattered most, becoming husband and wife. You stayed open to how it was celebrated, and that was such a joy, as you were so grounded and content. I couldn’t have enjoyed photographing you more! Thanks for being so wonderful and welcoming us with such open hearts.

The details: Victor and Brooklyn had their reception at Coast Black Winery. Brooklyn was wearing a dress from Blissful Bride in Calgary, the stunning flowers were from Crescendo Floral Studio, dinner was from Jackknife Pizza(and people were pumped about pizza) and dessert was donuts from Steiner Bakery a cake made by Sister-in-law Emma.
