Cailyn is a bit of a wonder, she has a quiet kind demeanour backed by a powerhouse of grounded wisdom. From when she used to dance, to taking on some running goals, to being recognized for the Chamber of Commerce for fundraising, this gal is naturally her impressive self.

The biggest surprise for me has been the ability to meet so many kind and interesting people at school this year. Despite taking classes in cohorts and being limited in who we can see outside of school, I have made many new friends that I hope I will continue to see for many years. Many of the people I have taken classes with or seen at lunch this year are among my closest friends, which I didnโt expect to happen during a pandemic.

I am proud of how unchanged we are now, despite the recent changes in our lives. We have remained involved in classes and extracurriculars, just as we have been in previous years, and we have remained just as focused on the future. My classmates at Vanier are so resilient and we have really made the most of the year despite the many challenges we have faced, and this resiliency has remained the same since I met many of them in Grade 10.

I am very excited to be moving to Vancouver in the fall to study International Economics at UBC! My dream is to get a job in either the non-profit sector, law, or government after I finish my degree (I havenโt decided yet). As for the summer, I will continue to work and spend time with friends and family.
