Ian, Comox Valley Grad 2021

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐚𝐧 - 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏

If you happen to find a McKinnon Photography promotion circa 2004 you have probably seen Ian as I used his baby photo in my promo for years. He is the one with the big dimples. Ian is a super interesting person with a wide range of ambitions and passions. Mountain biking has been a huge part of his high school years so we went to photograph some of the jumps he created. Just happened his dad biked by - so this seemed like an appropriate family photo. Thanks, Ian for taking me to one of your favourite spots and adventuring with me, so awesome to see what a rad grew up human you are!

I was accepted into the welding program at NIC for the second half of my grade 12 year which has been one of the best things about high school but also one of the most challenging because finishing high school online at the same time as going to college is really hard.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨?

Ian is looking forward to completing this welding course and moving on to the forestry course in the fall. Ian is looking forward to working back at Mt.Washington building the biking trails and running the big machines this summer.

Ian’s best high school memory is building the big dirt jumps out back of the school and being able to ride in the skate park every day at lunch. “I was pretty lucky”
