Marianne Enhorning Art
There are lots of photographers that I adore and who inspire me, but it is painters I really look up to, and fangirl over - and Marianne Enhorning is high on my list. As a photographer, I am always co-creating. Whether it is with my clients, or with light and nature, I have some raw material to work with and “feed” off of. Additionally, I have limitations, location, subject, and light. Painters though, it is them, their canvas and endless choices. I am in awe.
Marianne’s work stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it. I was immersed in curiosity as the painting reminded me of an adventure I was yet to have but was imagining and feelings I had while travelling in Asia. It brought the future and the past together. Now, when I see her work, I often look at it through that lens.
Shortly after seeing this painting Marriane and I created some photos together, that was four years ago and it was a joy to collaborate once more. The woman who makes this art is equally magnificent to her creations. She is adventurous, has a range of different energy and creates a space of peace. Which, I realize as writing this, is much like her paintings.
