Didi and Roman, Mount Washington Winter Wedding

Who: Didi & Roman

Their story: Roman moved to Vancouver from Chile, and ended up working at a restaurant with Didi’s best friend. He brought Roman to her birthday party, and they fell for each other. Didi wasn’t quite ready for a relationship, so Roman courted her for a year before she said yes. When they were away on a ski trip, and heading down the bunny hill, Roman stopped and asked a stranger to take a photo of him and Didi, he surprised Didi by proposing. Once again, she said yes.These two were planning a Mexico wedding, however, when the pandemic hit, they decided they couldn’t put off being married until they were able to travel. So this Qualicum couple, dressed in all black, surrounded by white snow, barely contained their giggles as they exchanged their vows.

The details: Married on Mt. Washington with a dinner at The Kingfisher Resort and Spa. The bride did her own hair and make-up and sourced and put her own outfit together. Flowers by Fresh and Fabulous out of Qualicum Beach.
