With So Much Appreciation

business-during-pandemic.jpg

Who would ever have imagined that this is where we would be Oct 12,2020. So many hard, emotional days. Photography helps me. It is how I make sense of the world. Seeing your individuality, sharing laughs and this year more than ever our fears, exploring forests, beaches and light together - this is a deep source of my wellness and joy. Witnessing your vulnerability, your spark, your connection with loved ones - it fills me up. The camera helps me be present in my life. You gift me that privilege. As someone who deeply needs a purpose, you, showing excitement for photos, sharing the value of capturing memories, it makes me feel very thankful.

It helps me stay excited about being a better community member, about noticing the small beautiful stuff in our family, and of course the importance of laughter (because every session has laughter.)

This photo is of some of the people I have photographed since we were "shut down." Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours. Thank you for the connection we have. Now, off to cook. I didn't grow up with Thanksgiving, and the preparation, for me, is as wonderful as the feast. We won't have the usual group of family here, it will be our small family, but we will eat well, drink our favorite local wine and toast the land we are grateful to live on and our community.
