After a meeting in a coffee shop turned into a full day date these two quickly realized their shared values, lifestyle and love for each other, which they celebrated at The Wickaninish Inn in Tofino with some of their closest friends and family.
The wedding festivities kicked off with a stunning crab bake on Shell Beach the night before the wedding, giving guests a chance to mingle, and take in an incredible sunset.
The next morning while the men headed out for a paddle off Mackenzie Beach, the women filled Studio One Salon, with warmth and excitement. After a quick change into their wedding ware they headed back to Shell Beach where vows were exchanged, followed by cocktails and dinner at the Wickaninnish Inn.
When I first met Tannis and Francois in Victoria at her childhood home, for the engagement session, I was struck by how kind and welcoming they were to me. The same held true for the way they looked out for all their guests throughout the day, including all the adorable children, that one could tell, were truly the apples of their eye. Gathering to celebrate these two was a group of relaxed, kind, hilarious friends and family which made for a day that was relaxed and genuine. The choice to have a small wedding was something they felt strongly about, and it was so easy to feel the love they truly had for each and every person there.
Tannis and Francois, thank you for sharing yourself, with me, for allowing me a window into your world filled with such magnificent friends and family. You talked so much about them before your day it was wonderful to see you showing and sharing your love for each other, and them so clearly in such a classy beautiful affair.
