Absolutely stunning and humbling! Thank you so much for such beautiful kind words, and the pictures are breathtaking!
Caleb and Michaela knew what they were looking for in a photography style and I am so thankful that I was the right fit for them. I have known some of their family and always thought so highly of them, so I was naturally curious and excited to meet with them. At our first meeting, well, and our second, I had to be careful to stick, at least loosely, to the intended content of wedding photography, as there were so many questions I asked about the interesting life they are creating, as well as their sweet history of being childhood friends.
Their December 27 th wedding came together beautifully. They were really clear that despite it being late December, we were going to have their first look at Miracle Beach in Black Creek. After days of storms, the skies cleared and some warm(ish) air blew in. The first look is one of my favorite moments of the day,it is really emotional watching the groom take in the wow factor of his bride, and the look they share with each other as it hits them that today is the day to make their vows. After some beautiful portraits, we headed to the other highlight of the day, the ceremony with the church family they grew up with. The ceremony, brought laughter, tears and inspiration and an incredible feeling of warmth and love.
Capturing these two throughout the day, it really felt like they were right at home – they way they moved together – perhaps a combo of the strength of their shared faith, and coming from the same place and knowing they are headed in the same direction.
Thank you Caleb and Michaela for sharing yourselves with me, for your adventurous spirit and being so grounded in the meaning of your day.
