Twelve years ago Joel looked across a room and noticed a gal in the cutest pigtails and toque, numbers were exchanged, a date happened the next day. It has been happily ever after since that day and on July 7th, Megan and Joel gathered at Crown Isle Resort to mark the next chapter in their lives.

When I arrived at the bride getting ready one couldn’t help but smile. Any nerves or stress she had was masked by pure joy and excitement. This foreshadowed the day ahead which full of laughter and huge smiles. Stunning Megan and her sweet as could be maid of honor Michelle, arrived at the ceremony in style – via helicopter flown by Megan’s brother Clayton. However, the highlight was definitely Joel’s huge grin as Megan walked down the aisle, a grin which became giggles, as he was so happy during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, along with the wedding party, we flew to the top of the Beaufort Range for some photos (and more laughter,) and then returned to Crown Isle Golf Resort for an intimate and warm reception. Truly, every time I looked at these two they were smiling with every bit of energy they had.
Megan and Joel your wedding day was so incredible, it was overflowing with happiness. There isn’t a better word to describe it, or the two of you. I am so blessed to have been able to play witness in such a celebratory moment, thinking about it, writing about it, still puts a huge smile on my face. I think in writing this blog post I could have just written the word “happy” in huge letters to explain it. With gratitude and love, Karen
