Kim and Thom April Point Wedding – small in size and big in heart

It was about them, of course, it was there wedding, but you wouldn’t know it. They thought so much about their family, from making sure they were comftorable, to ensuring their was time to enjoy them to scheduling time for family photos before the wedding. That’s just who Kim and Thom are.

Their April Point Wedding was intimate, just them and immediate family. It was small in size but big in heart.

I started the day with them in a bit of an unconventional way. We took photos of Kim and Thom not in their wedding wear. I loved this idea. We did family photos on the beach and then spent some time capturing the two of them, as they are everyday. It was a lovely way for them to relax into each other and the day.

Of course this was no ordinary day and after these portraits they easily slipped into their role of bride and groom. Kim was stunning in her snug slip-dress and Thom in his stylish suit. After getting ready together they headed off to make sure all the elements were ready. The wedding had beautiful details, from the stunning florals of Purely Flowers, to the table lanterns, (Kim has been collecting lanterns from from the same potter for years, Crazy Duck Pottery, and had him make some specifically for the wedding.)

As Kim walked down the aisle there wasn’t a dry eye in the group, and with the stunning BC backdrop the wedding was beautiful. What really made the day so lovely though was Kim and Thom themselves and how relaxed they were. Although they knew each other years ago, these two reconnected as adults and the feeling between them was intantly mutual – and strong. It is obvious that they not only have fabulous chemistry but they make great partners and friends.

Thank you Kim and Thom, for making my first spring wedding of the year such a natural and memorable day. You have so much heart.
