The pictures Karen took of our guests, especially family, were so wonderful. She caught a picture of my son in which he is looking the happiest I have ever seen him. I truly treasure these photos.
Heather and Jason were married early this fall in a classic Comox Valley Wedding. The forecast called for rain, but somehow, it held back and beautiful light and warmth shone down on them as we photographed amongst trees and in fields and as they exchanged vows with the ocean below them.
Heather and Jason actually have known each other for years through mutual friends, but it wasn’t until they were both single that they saw the connection they had. It started as causal hanging out, and then moved into evenings on the couch watch Game of Thrones. Jason kept working on ways to extend their time together, convincing her to drive from Campbell River to spend time together. It seems he knew exactly what he was doing.
Their common interests have reached past their initial Game of Thrones marathons, and from biking to camping, to raising Jason’s charismatic and adorable daughter together, these two provide a wonderful balance for each other.
This was my last wedding of the year and it was a dreamy way to end it. From their first look ( Jason and Heather chose to see each other before their ceremony) which was filled with epic smiles, to the wedding party photos (definitely some memorable moments there!) up until the ceremony the day just rolled along beautifully. The ceremony was filled with some true emotion. There wasn’t a dry eye in the group when Heather presented Jason’s daughter with a ring, and she responded with joyful tears. After the ceremony and a few more photos these two rolled into their reception to joyous applause and a night filled with personal heart felt speeches and some rock star dance moves.
This wedding was really what it is all about – celebrating Heather and Jason’s unique bond and creating more memories with family and friends.
It truly was a beautiful honour to be part of such a wonderful day.
