The pictures Karen took of our guests, especially family, were so wonderful. She caught a picture of my son in which he is looking the happiest I have ever seen him. I truly treasure these photos.
When I was growing up my dad and I would go to Granville Island Market every Saturday. My mom would take me to school late in high school so I we could go to the market and have oatmeal and fancy coffee.
It now, remains a place very dear to my heart. It feels like home.
Now, when my daughter Selah and I are in Vancouver we always go to the Market, sometimes twice. We have oatmeal each time, it connects me to being a good mom, and from all the love I came from.
When Simon and Christian told my office Christine that they wanted to shoot their session at Granville Island I heard her say “Karen in going to love this.” And I did. The location is so reflective of these two – interesting, colorful, organic, warm and their session was even tasty – yes.. they brought me home-made baked goods, which I am pretty sure makes me a better photographer.
To say I am looking forward to their April Point wedding is an understatement – can you feel the joy for life and each other these two have?
