Stacey and Sam

Tags: , ,

Timing can be everything  but for Stacey and Sam it eventually tipped in their  favour, culminating in a beautiful April Point Wedding.  Sam was smitten from the start, meeting at friends birthday party, they sensed a connection, but she was in a relationship with someone else. Exactly one year later, at the same friend’s birthday party they crossed paths again, the magic was still there, and Sam did not letting her get away this time.

As an ode to their love of the ocean and fishing they made the trek to BC from their home in Washington and gave their friends and family, who came from the US, and as far away as Italy,  a fabulous weekend away.

The day started with a beautiful soft haze that lifted as the women got ready, just in time for us to marvel at the Orca that swam by.

The officiant for the ceremony was Stacey’s brother who did a phenomenal job and even went on to MC the wedding, and hit the dance floor hard.

Their two fur babies made the trip from Washington with them, and were perfectly behaved for their photos. I think the pup in the middle is actually smiling a bit as he soaks up the love.

Stacey and Sam did many of their photos before their ceremony, and it was lovely to witness them taking each other in right away and digesting that this was their wedding day.

Huge thank you to this wonderful wedding party. For such a bit wedding party they were so cohesive, sticking together, taking care of the bride and groom and constantly providing laughs.

This crew proved you don’t need a big group to get a party going. I think everyone hit the dance floor at some point – and they gave it their all! The highlight for me was when Sam shared with me that he had never seen his dad dance, but knew he wouldn’t refuse him at his wedding.

We were gifted this incredible warm light. Sam is the kind of guy that can walk into a room and warm it up with his precedes and sincerity. Stacey, her smile, could make you giggle, and her loving personality radiates. Together them seem to have so much energy and yet are so relaxed. They didn’t slow down all day, or stop smiling – they floated through this incredible day.

Stacey and Sam your wedding simply, rocked. Everyone had so much fun, from the getting ready to the dances, buckets of  celebration and just the right amount  of sentiment. There wasn’t a tense moment, a tired moment, a stressed moment – it all just flowed. You both looked stunning, and eluded joy.

It was inspiring and beautiful. Thinking about your day puts a big smile on my face. Thank you! <3
